This has been and is turning out to be, a very bad week. I just can't think clearly today. come to think of it I havn't been able to think clearly for several weeks. I'm so stressed out right now my head could explode. part of me wishes it would.

The huskers lost last night. I don't have a lot more to say. I just want Miami to lose today. then things would be cool. So far Colorado will play OU for the big XII championship. if OU and Miami both win their games this weekend it looks like they'll be playing for the championship at the rose bowl.
In a couple of hours I'm gonna be celebrating turkeyday again. as I mentioned in a previous post.. we rented the Ballroom here in Beemer. The turkey is done and I'm sure I'll get hollerd at to help with something any second now.
For those of you seeing my site for the first time, this is a blog or "web-log" . it's similar to an online journal. but I keep in mind that other people read it on a regular basis.. so when I'm writing I keep my audience in mind. the primary goal it to let my friends [and family] know what I'm up to.. and to keep from telling the same stories over and over again. While I'm on break from school, I plan to build and set up a webserver to host this on. The blog will move to some sub directory of the main site.. maybe .. it's all up in the air right now. so if you're thinking "This is it!?" just be patient. a more elaborate site is on the way.

Ok... blogger seems to be working now.. bloggerbot returned an error message but aparently my blog went through. so.. continuing..
tomorrow... get this.. My dad's side of the family is celebrating thanksgiving.. and christmas. yeah.. we're lumpin' it together this year. I got my uncle Louie something. he's my godfather, it's kindof a tradition .. but it's seems to be dying off as all of us get older and stuff. it's hard to say what we'll do next year. I'm not participating in the gift exchange. it's too short of notice for me to get any thing. no bigie. I can't think of any thing I'd need anyway. even though it's a random exchange, it's not always the easiest to get a good gift. Im probably a dificult person to buy a gift for.
if any of you want ideas... I need a a book on Apache server administration under Linux. a newbie guide is good. lets see.. that's about it.. my birthday is coming up too so.. if ther's something you think I need let me know.
well I should log off the 'net now .. I'm in beemer on dialup and it seems like some one is trying to get a hold of us. Tell my parents that they need DSL.

OK, here's a lesson I should have remembred... check your e-mail before you get ticked off at some one.. It's no big deal though. I still got stuff done and since the project is to build a web site I'm better off working by myself anyway. He's just gonna help me with content. and I'll do the actual design. I made an image for an image map I'm wondering if it's too big.. .. I mean it's fine for the main page but I think I need something better for navigation on sub pages.
I need to go do laundry yet. so I think that I'll go do that now. I'm still in the lab... I'm gonna copy things over to a zip disk and be on my way.
my life is no fun. I'm really looking forward to taking a vacation this winter. No, taking a road trip to chicago in the middle of winter is not the smartest idea in the world, but it gives me something to look forward too. I'm crossing my fingers on this but I don't want it to cost more than $250. Let's hope gas prices get lower, (they're down around $1.20 now, but maybe it'll get better)

*yawn* it's 2:00 on a Sunday. basily one one more day untill turkey day vacation. I work untill noon (the tech job yes the one that gives me money) Then I'm pretty much free. I'm sitting in the Lab where I work. no I'm not working today. I need to get some work done and I don't have front page installed on my machine. in fact, my machine is really acting screwey. I'll be reformating the hard drive as soon as I have a chance. I don't think I'll be doing it on my time off. Now., back to why I'm here. I need to plop together a web site for a class project. I need some inspiration.. This is gona be vewied on a mac, and probly with netscape ugh. I'm using MS front page to get started, but that may be a mistake. I'm supposed to meet the other guy in my group here.. I forgot to tell him that they lock all but the south doors on sunday. Well, as long as he gets me some content. that's all I really care about. ooh I have an idea... I'll take an image of a brain and make an image map out of it. ! yeah .. ok.. Thats one thing that's cool about front page it does great with graphics and imagemaps and stuff. I know how to do everything but make an image map using conventional graphics tools.. so it takes the "1337" edge off. However it is the one thing I actually like about front page. Don't get me wrong. you can't really make a good page without getting your hands dirty and editing html.

Who Where? What? yes I'm blogging once again. it's 4:15 AM on a saturday. I'm finnally inspired to blog. my postings have been infrequent. I'm very busy with school and work. my grades have slumped lately so I need to get my act together and stuff. even less time to post and stuff. don't be suprised if I don't post more than once or twice between now and turkeyday vacation.
I caught up on a few blogs today. the fist one I want to plug is Liz's she has a very nice mp3 posted on her site, it's a must download.
I used to be able to sing.. when I was a senior in high school, back in the late 90's I made it to the confernce honor chior, that was pretty cool considering I never really learned how to sing, I only learned how to vocalize notes that I memorized. I would have tried out for all state but my psycho-ish instructor never suggested it to me. looking back I wish I would have. it would have taken quite a bit of time though, considering I never really sang I just vocalized notes I had to hear the note on a piano. I could then easily sing that note, as I mentioned it was only a matter of memorizing the order of the notes I needed to sing. I couldn't read sheet music for the life of me. yeha I understood how it works and the difference bettween a given note and the one next to it but I'd never be able to get close to hitting the note by looking at it on paper.
I don't sing any more. in fact I refuse to. it's too much work. If some one asked me nicely. I would, but don't expect me to join any choirs any time soon.
in other things I bought a new domain name not long ago.. WhatsWrongWithThatBoy.com if you go there now it shows nothing just that it's on an apache server. taht isn't even my server, it's the generic setup from the registrar I used devNIC if you're gonna register a domain name go with them. do not use register.com They provide a service exactly the way I expect them to. they don't send me spam, the navigation isn't terrible. the site is clean looking ( and merc, just so you don't jump to conclusions, the work you have up on lounge punk right now looks to be a huge improvement. I'm eagerly awaiting the new look. ) There's not a lot of good things I can say about them but every bad thing that I can think of about register.com is absent in devNIC and it was cheaper too! only $20!
My new URL will lead to my own site... I'm not sure what will become of this blog.. I don't know if one will mirror the other or what. for now I'm more worried about finding a home for my website. I plan to turn the computer I'm using right now into a dedicated web server. pending I find a place to hook it to a static internet connection. I thought my parents would be subscribing to DSL by now, but they're not. if they don't start subscribing to it by the end of November I'm gonna look into setting up the server here in my dorm room. the problem is that I'm using a DHCP assigned IP. I'm not sure how I'm gonna get around that. I don't know how often the IP address will change. Oh well. I need to buld the replacement computer first. so far it looks like it's gonna be a AMD AthlonXP 1600+ (1.4Ghz) with 512 mb of ram and windows XP. I'm gonna pick up my parents old 6 GB hard drive and put it in this machine, and take my 10 GB drive and put it in my new machine untill I can afford a nice new hard drive. my Current video card will go into the new machine and my soon to be server will get an old junker of a vga card collecting dust. If I had the money I'd just buy a nice geforce2 and leave the half decent card where it is. but I'm strapped for cash and will be buildig my machine in stages. I only need a motherboard, CPU, RAM and a case with powersupply. All the other parts I allready have. by february I'll be able to buy a nice big 7200rpm ATA100 HD, and by spring break I'll have a nice video card installed.
well, I think I've posted enough at once for now,.. enjoy.
