I have nothing special to say about the new year that's fast apporaching.. it will be another year.. with a fancy new name. people will die.. people will be born.. and of course .. floppy disks will fail. -- another story alltogether -- . . . . I will get older.. as will you. will I find a new direction? what will be my state of being as I live out 2002? what will I loose by 2003? and what will I have gained? I keep thinking back to 1990.. why I don't know.. maybe 'cause that year I was about the same age as my brother.. I remember watching MTV.. remember when MTV was cool?.. I think my brother is watching Nickelodeon right now.. ugh the garbage that's on TV. if I could go back to then and say hey. what do you think you'll be doing in 12 years? 12 years to the day... who knows. if the future me asked me what I thought I'd be doing only one year from now.. It'd be even more dificult to answer. let the adventure begin.

I tried the new verson of winamp today. winamp3 beta 2 ... in my opinion it sucks.

I forgot to mention that.. I scored a computer .. my brother's girlfriend's family was throwing out their old computer that was "broke" ...my brother figured I could use it for parts and salvaged it for me.. as far as software goes that thing is hosed.. but I'm gonna put Linux on it anyway. it's an old compaq.. Cyrix 686MMX, 4GB HD, and only 28 mb of ram.. audio and video are both integrated into the motherboard. it's got USB. (and came preinstalled with win98) but it's not an ATX board.. I just had a friend tell me that the BIOS for these old compaqs are on the hard drive.. bleagh. that sucks.... well, this machine is gonna be a web server anyway.. so if it dies, it dies. it's got one PCI slot free so I'm gonna put in the ethernet card that I have lying around.

lots of stuff happened yesterday .,.,it was a busy day...

I went to Norfolk yesterday.. I had to meet with some people.. yada yada yada.. anyway.. I did some shopping while I was there... I got myself a Microsoft internet keyboard. It was a Xmas gift from my parents. they had origionally gotten me a internet keyboard made my by GE. I had no idea GE made computer keyboards.... the reason this happened .. was because I asked for a "Microsoft Internet Keyboard" and I said I wanted the PS/2 one, not the USB "Pro" model. well, I guess I should have emphasized the Microsoft.. and not the 'internet' part of the request.. but it's no big deal, I would have made the same mistake if I were him..

for my B-day. which was a couple of weeks ago. I got a set of leatherman type multi-tools. and a couple of knives. I have about every tool I could need, but I lack a good pair of pliers. so that's what I asked for... I was also happy to have recived a good pair of 'real' needle nose pliers for Xmas..

Santa claus brought the family a PSone. being that I percieved this I picked up a boot CD that allows me to play *cough* backups *cough* "Need for Speed III" is fun.

My mom recieved a rice cooker... unfortunatly it only cooks rice.. as far as we can tell.. my brother used it yesterday.. and now gues... yeah.. that's right... he used minute rice in the rice cooker... of course the rice was ruined but .. luckily the rice cooker was not.

and as I mentioned on antislacker, we now have two little dwarf hamsters in the house... you have to be careful not to startle them. or smell like any kind of food.. or they will bite... we've gone to various hamster web sites and we're looking at things to tame our little furballs.. it is possible to hold them.. and they are nice little pets.. but they can and do bite. so .. be forwarned..

Life just isn't fair!!!!!!!!

If you send e-mail to my @email.com account please stop using that account after the first of the year. I've had that account longer than I've had my own computer. the account has been wonderfull to me. all my e-mail comes in autoforwarded to my school issued account. never a problem with it. but now they tell me that the free service is being discontinued. bleah I mean that e-mail address was... perfect.. it was the one I used. If people asked me what my e-mail address was I'd give them that one.. friends, family members, you name it. I've had that e-mail address for FOUR years!!! and now I have to find a new one. They seem to think people will pay around $20 a year for an e-mail address that autoforwards. thats crap. I can buy my own domain name for that. scavange up about $150 in comptuer parts and viola I have a server to run it on. I'm so ticked about this. I can't afford any new domain names. so.. I guess I'm gonna have to look into @whatswrongwiththatboy.com e-mail addresses.. but those are pretty long . bleah... well, I do have CLMProductions.com ick thats kinda long too. any body got any ideas???

I'ts wednsday. whew.. made it half way but not without wounds. I took an exam today. I feel I did poorly. I have one more exam in that class. if I expect to walk away without an F I need to do very well on the last exam. luckily for me it's not cumulative.

I'm at work right now. ah the joys of work. bleah. Just now some guy came up to this desk and lamented his dilema. He and a couple of classmates are doing a presintation for a class. They were using powerpoint. And all they have is a floppy disk. I tell the guy "well your best bet is to run to the bookstore or walmart or some place and get a zipdisk. Then he told me that his class is at 6:30. well the clock on the wall was right at 6:30 as he told me that. I don't feel the least bit sorry for him. he could save it to the network drive and do it that way. I told him that. I don't feel sorry for him.

This has been a very long week. The worst part about the weekend is that I know that tomorrow is monday. at least it won't be hitting my by surprise.. but that dosn't mean I'm ready for it.

Two more weeks.. I have an exam on wednsday. I have a final on the 17th, and another on the 20th. I have one more exam in there some where but I'm not sure when.

I'm sitting here at work. the place is packed today. hey somebody go get me something to drink... I'm here by myself and I can't leave my post...
