I'm using Linux.... ya know. with netscape 6.x this isn't so bad :) I could actually get used to this. Has FJ made the switch?? we'll see

I just read a post on shashdot about getting a job that has nothing to do with your area of study.. I read a comment by a guy with an english degree thats a sys admin for some company. Well, I guess there's hope for me.. It should be OK if I get a BA and go for some kind of tech job.. I'll be getting enough on the job experience at my part time job so it should be cool... now, I just need to go get that degree. then.. *drammatic music* it's the real world !!! Aaahhh !! eh it should be better... Ang seems to be doin ok. But Ang and Ong both have told me life after the bachellors degree isn't all it's cracked up to be.. hmmm yeah I'll miss sleeping untill 8:00 .. but I won't miss dorm food. I'll miss taking long showers without having to worry about the heating or water bill... I wont miss riding the bus between the halves of campus. I might miss the times I've taken naps in the student union (yes it's true) but who says that has to stop? ;)

I just got done with my ASL class.. I was talking to one guy in my class .. turns out he's a vigel member in OA and an eagle scout. I thought that was kind of cool. He's a year younger than me. He went to NOAC.. I diddn't go, I was allready 18 and had so much other things going on that summer. Ok, at this point none of you regular readers have any idea what I'm talking about. I'll explain later. anyway I thought it was kind of cool.. I'm only a brotherhood member of Order of the Arrow, but I am an eagle scout. I'm waiting for the bus... fun.. 5 more min.

Time to blog again... 1+1=5.. yeah.. you know what I'm getting at... little fuzzy creatures that eat, sleep, and procreate.... and run around in a little plastic wheel My brother's hamsters had a litter of 3 over the weekend. He got them for Xmas and they've had a litter allready I hope that what I read once on a website isn't true.. and that they won't try to have another litter in 30 days. Another thing is that after 60 days of life the new ones willl be capeable of having their own litters... inbreading can't be good,.. I don't know what they plan to do about it. I guess if you have a life span of only around 1000 days you get it on while you still can.. .. I wonder if you can neuter a dwarf hamster..

Today is monday .. today is my day off. yay.. I need to get some homework done though .. fun.

I've been talking to becca a lot this weekend.. she's cool.. :) she dosnt' start school untill wednsday :p

Ok, so, one week has passed.. yay me.. I'm still alive.... I should be cleaning my room... then I need to go to the store.. I must buy dinner before I get hungry.. do not ever go grocery shopping when you are hungry.. I knew this allready and still made that mistake last week... I'll spend it on garbage.. and over priced crap that looks really good

becca wants me to blog.. she IMed me and in her own way (I think she was trying to be cute) told me I should update this thing... well if it'll make her happy... all you girls out there can drool over my charm and wit now... you're getting a fresh dose today.

it snowed last night.. and it's all pretty much melted today... I still havn't gotten a fish I might today if I feel like it... well I better clean some more it's allready 5:00 at this rate I'll be hungry in the grocery store... that's bad.

OK, I'm in the Barkley center resourse room .. the same place as the last post. I can't use blog bot beacuse I can't load the java verson of the AOL instant messinger. so I'm stuck with this horrid old verson of netscape on this Powermac 7200. It's a "Power PC" that's the one past the 68040 right? I don't recall. It has 32 mb of ram. ooh. running mac OS 8.1 There are a couple of first generation Imacs in here too. Don't Imacs have G3s in them? why can't they run System 7.5.x ? I'm not really a mac person. I could never own just a mac I'd need a wintell PC as well.

I want to put together a simple website for the campus group that I'm involved in. and we need more members. at most meetings we're lucky to have 8 or 9 attend. I couldn't attend one of the meetings last semester and I later found out that only 4 people showed. 3 of them were the "officers" of the group. anyway, I'm the most tech savy person they have and will probably ever have. (we're talking AOL users here) I want this website to work for them but I also don't want to back down to the Sh@#%^&y 6 year old standards. What should I do? hmm I think i'll slap one together this weekend maybe and ask for input. I'll stick it on geocities untill I get web space from the school or get my server up. I won't have a lot of time though My composition class is gonna be a rough ride. I'm not used to writing 700 word papers every week. wish me luck.. (I'm confident that I'll survive but , I just don't wanna go crazy.)
well class starts in aabout 20 min. I'm gonna go review.

No!!! I just lost a post!! ugh this stupid outdated browser on a friggin Imac, I'm in the speach pathology and audiology building .. waiting for my next class I just got done typing a rant about how the teachers college sucks.. and then I lost it.. now I'm all fired up again. but , I don't want to retype my rant.

Also I mentioned that I'm excited about my English comp class. !! my particular secion will be having an emphasis on film!!! yes film as in TVs and movies! I'm way excited about that.. the really cool thing is that there was no way I could have planned it that way.. it just happened.. anyway I'm not so worried about that class now.. I'm actually looking forward to it.. not that it'll be easy, but it'll be interesting!

Time for another FJ update.

I just had my first day of a new semester. so far so good I guess... one class .. the intro to theatre one.. has this cool option.. if I do 20 hours of help (stage hand.. ect) this semester, I will not have to take a final exam..and I will get an A for those points!!! does that rock or what? I figure I'll do like 4-6 hours a week for 4 or 5 weeks and I'll have it done before the 5th week of school!! that way I can get it done with... it's gonna be a cool feeling to know that I allready aced the final before spring break :) let's just hope they allow me to work 6 hours in one week

as for my other classes... bleah.. there gonna be tough. history will be no fun. and I don't have my composition class untill tomorrow.. so.. it's a bit to early to say wether or not I'm gonna go insane.. I did wake up ontime this morning.. :) that's a good start .. I don't really know what else to say... I gotta read my stupid history book.

wow, I havn't blogged in a while.. The Huskers lost the Rose Bowl. I have an eye appointment on tuesday.. my life is kinda dull...

I havn't gotten any work done on that comptuer I aquired. I can't find the CD-rom drive.... it's gotta be in the house some where. oh well I have one in my dorm room that I'll get this weekend so no big deal... I don't know when I'll be able to work on it though.

I'm gonna get me a fish this weekend. I'm thinking maybe a betta or a few gold fish... I dunno.. the way it seems now I'll get a betta.

Tomorrow night is the Rose bowl. The Nebraska Cornhuskers Vs. the Miami Florida .. whatever their mascot is.. It should be a good game. I'll blog about this more tomorrow Go Huskers!
