Well, Spring break is over. I diddn't really get any thing done.. In retrospect I realize that I slacked the whole time. I'm a bit dissapointed in myself but, I did get lots and lots of much needed sleep. I also feel that I can go and take on a monday. Had I not had this break I would have not felt nearly this good. Let me make it clear.. I feel able to take on a Monday.. not willing. I head back to Lincoln soon.. As soon as some stuff finishes uploading to my server. That reminds me. I could not get my parent's CDRW drive to work .. I did get my brother's camera to work.. it diddn't want to install.. but it works fine now... speaking of brothers.. it's like a zoo. Perhaps I'll blog about that some time.
These dialup connections are so darn slow.. :( I'll be happy to get back to broadband... I reformated my win2k partition the other day :) it was so easy. I backed up things I needed to back up.. (to another partition) then I booted into win98, started partition magic, 3 clicks and the partition was gone.. then I poped in my Win2k CD and installed it on the empty space. I chose NTFS over FAT32 this time.. :) Now I have A nice clean system. Of course I have to reinstall a lot of stuff now.. flash card reader.. and printer.. and what not.. but.. it's no big deal.
Well, it's nearly 1:00 ... time to start packing.. I want to beat the rush.

Meanwhile back at the ranch... err village..
As I mentioned some time ago, my brother has pet hamsters.. as it turns out there was a second litter not long ago. and one of them was an albino. I'm speaking about the poor hamster in the past tense because friday night he passed on. It's a looong story and too confusing to post here but the cute little albino hamster is burried in the back yard. I had hoped to post pics of him but I saw no point in taking a picture of a dead hamster.
Speaking of animals, thousands of canadian geese were passing through this weekend. You would not belive the number of geese in one place. litterally thousands of them. They like to circle and sit in corn fields, no doubt for the corn. (and for you city slickers, no it's not growing season. there's loose corn on the ground left from last falls harvist. not a lot but enough for a bunch of hungry geese to scavange for it.) I tried to take some pics but we couldn't get close enough for a good shot.
It's monday and I havn't done much of any thing with the movie I want to shoot, it's about 1:00 so in a little bit I'll be going to the school and I'll see if the superintendent is not to busy to talk to me. I want to go and find out when it'd be best to interview the teachers.. I won't bring the camera today I don't know if I'll do any shooting at today, prefferibly tomorrow I'll get a heck of a lot done. I'm in no hurry. I just need to jump in and get to work. *sigh* over the weekend I went to Radio Shack and bought a $30 mic. and guess what. I found out yesterday, that the camera I'll be using does not have mic input. The only mic that you can use is the one built into the machine!! This is depressing. but it will have to do.
Yesterday, I spent a good bulk of the day fixing my brothers computer. I don't know what he did to it but the hard drive would not work. I tried a lot of different things.. What I should have done from the start was given the hard drive a low level format. That solved the problem. it took 4 hours. and it wasn't untill 4:00 PM that I started it ( I sleped untill noon so sue me). It took me a while to fix it and the next time it has a problem like this I'm gonna do a low level format from the start. Ya know if he had taken the machine into some other place for repair it probably would have cost him over $100. I'm hopeing he compensates me for the time I could have spent working on something else. like repairing my own computer. The stupid DVD-Rom drive isn't working. I also fixed my neighbor's comptuer. There was a software problem that was messing things up. I looked in and uninstalled the garbage internet program that was causing the problem and the computer worked again with out problems. I got $15 for that :) !! It's the going rate I guess. My neighbors have alwas been good about paying me well. In a small town where the nearest "professional" is 40 miles away. I'm a valluable asset. and I know I've saved them a load of money. Paying me $20 to look at their machine and then fix whatever little problem it has is a lot cheaper than taking it some where else where the minimum charge will be upwards of $50, wether they fix it or not. Most people realize this and are pretty good about it. I'll need to be fixing my parent's computer.. Every thing seems to be working but the darn thing will not burn CDs. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software but no luck. . I'll try another thing or two... I'm tempted to reformat. but that's such a chore. If and when I get this darn thing working again, I'm gonna partition off the drive and make a backup. I need to reformat the hard drive on my computer too.. I'm not looking forward to that.

It dosn't FEEL like friday. Yesterday felt like friday. today feels like it should be saturday.. I wish it was but if it was saturday I'd be out of here and well I have a load of things that need to be done in the next 24 hours. I have an exam later today. ugh. not looking forward to that. *deep breath* ok, exam at 11:30, then class then turn in my assignment for the class that was cancled today (no class but an assinment do today as if that makes sence) Then I need to go to radio shack and buy a mic, and then stop at wal-mart or something and get some tapes. then at 6:30 tonight I go and watch "The Little Humpback Horse" it's a play written by some local, and based on an old russian folktale. It's an assignment. That will get over around 9:00-9:30.. and then I clean my room and decide wether or not I drive back to Beemer tonight. Due to the severity of the mess in my room I think I'll be heading out tomorrow morning.

I got the go-ahead to shoot my film next week. I'm so excited.. and nervous..

*sigh* I don't know which I hate more.. Stupid idiots that try to hack servers, or bread mold.
Update: it's a couple days later.. I learned it's not a stupid hacker. but a copy of the code red worm running one some computer on the lan. -- this would explain why it was so percistant and tried the same attack over and over and over even though it failed every single time. These viruses are still out there people! Update your anti-virus software and patch your operating systems (if aplicable)

Whew!!! I got a B- on my history exam!!! w00t! yeah yeah,.. "b- ha ha you're dumb" but hey I thoght I was gonna gonna get a much lower score. There's still hope for an A believe it or not and well there are two more exams.. so if I want to pass I just need to pass the next two exams.. This is great news.. but.. hmm why do I still feel like crap.. perhaps I'm becoming ill .. and yeah it's snowing today... I wish I had my cam here in Lincoln, I'd point it out the window for all of you to see. I could take a pic with my digital camera but I don't feel like it right now.. and yeah I bought a quick cam a while ago.. but it's In Beemer.. I'll get it in two weeks..and now that I have a server I'll have a webcam in 3 weeks. yay! well on another note thursday became Friday, and there was much rejoicing.
