[Booooing!!!]
I won't get the chance to blog on Feb. 29th for a long time so I thought I'd go out of my way to make sure that I do so.
I still don't have a job.. few leads and those that I do have are dubious. My dad expressed his assesment of my worthlessness today. It has been a long time since I've had a job. I can't get a job in a lot of places because they're afraid I'll take off for something better. Well that's true but if those crapheads would have hired me back when I was willing to work I'd still be there wouldn't' I? I'm still looking... It's discouraging most of the time.
The Beemer community theatre was this weekend. The play was "Weddingbells and Lumberjacks" I didn't go see it. I've been told it's not as good as other years.
It rained a lot to day. Tomorrow is Monday. and.. that's it.

whooooooooosh!!
I completely forgot to post the most important thing I wanted to put in my blog last time I updated it.
My best friend from high school, Eric, Got married Feb 6th. If you go back into the archives, you'll see that I was going to be a groomsmen. Well.. things didn't happen as planned. His fiance became pregnant, and that threw a monkey wrench into the works. First it was September of '03, then it was march '04, then may, then march again, then April.. (I think) Finally, they decided that it might just be best if they go to the courthouse and get married there. He had mentioned that they were considering that back in December.
Here's a bit of a time line for clarification: In December Eric mentioned to me that they had considered skipping the big wedding and reception, and getting married at the courthouse. I agreed that it may be wise to do so, and asked he keep me informed on the decision. January comes along and their baby is born. (Jan 9th to be specific) I pay them a visit and not much is said about wedding plans. Roughly a month later, (on Friday, Feb 6th.) Eric stops by my house around 10:00AM, and tells me that he's getting married at the county courthouse and I'm welcome to come. Then everybody's going out to dinner at a steak house in Omaha.
After the "short and sweet" ceremony, we all went to Gorat's in Omaha. I carpooled with Eric's parents, they had room. When we got back, they thanked me profusely. I'm not entirely sure why..... I want obligated to drop everything (as if I had anything going on) and then buy my own dinner at one of Omaha's more expensive restaurants. I guess that's why they were thanking me for.. but eh, what are friends for?
Not much has gone on in the past couple of weeks. I've been fixing computers.. and looking for work. I had a job interview today. It was a preliminary interview. They'll take the "top 4" of what they get and send it on to the company I'd actually work for. I drove all the way to Omaha and back to hand them a piece of paper that I could have sent over the internet in under two min. Well I guess that's how you play the game when you live in Cumming county and you want a job that doesn't somehow involve cows, soybeans or corn.
I had my hearing tested about 2 weeks ago. More of the same I guess. If any of you would like to see my audiogram, I have it on the server as a PDF file. You'll have to ask me for it unless I decide to post a link to it later. There's no personal or identifiable info on it, but somehow it would feel like showing of my new underwear.

What? another month already??
Hello every body. It's the stinking middle of February. About a week ago I thought I was seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I found a job posted online, it was posted on a Wednesday, and the work started the following Monday. I jumped on it. I got a call the next day, everything seemed great. It was a one-month contract to work not too far from Beemer. "$15 an hour" The woman said. However, it was too good to be true. The woman on the phone was merely working for a company that found people such as me. First they pushed the work back to Wednesday, then "maybe next week" and then the whole thing is "on hold"... Indefinitely. So, a weekend of feeling sorry for myself and now it's back to the job hunt. I got another rejection letter last week, and last night I had a phone interview for a job in the DC area.
In other happenings, on the 3rd week of January, my grandpa celebrated his 86th birthday. We went to visit him, he seems to be doing well. The world has changed so much since then... what will the world be like when I'm that age? If I live that long. .. About two days ago my little brother's pet hamster died. He was the buck that my brother got for xmas over 3 years ago. Dwarf hamsters have a life expectancy of only 2-3 years so, in hamster years, he did pretty well.
Overall life pretty much sucks. I want to get a job and money and get out of here but oddly I have little motivation to take the needed steps.
Update: Due to mis-information, I had some incorrect data in this post. I've delteted that text.
